Emily believes in fostering a trusting and supportive relationship in order to work collaboratively in addressing a person’s needs. Her therapeutic strategy is a comprehensive approach that works to build a deeper understanding of an individual’s presenting issues in the context of their life story, attachments, relationships, and belief systems. Her approach is informed by a combination of Cognitive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). This process is geared towards drawing upon one’s strengths while examining problematic personal and/or interpersonal patterns that interfere with our lives.
