About Danielle
Healing through words, creativity,
and everything in between
Danielle Griffiths is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist with over 30 years of experience working with adults and children across a wide range of settings. She earned her Master of Arts in Art Psychotherapy from Hahnemann University in 1992 and has since worked in outpatient and inpatient mental health, crisis intervention, addiction treatment, foster care, and end-of-life care.
What sets Danielle apart is her ability to work across two distinct paths to healing: traditional talk therapy and art therapy informed approaches. She understands that thoughts and feelings do not always have words, and that creative expression can reach places conversation alone sometimes cannot.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply person-centered. She tailors every session to the individual and supports progress at each client's own pace. With extensive trauma experience, she helps clients build emotional regulation, resilience, and a greater sense of balance, often weaving in mindfulness, grounding techniques, and body-based awareness.
"I see therapy as a shared journey. My role is to walk alongside you through life's challenges, at whatever pace feels right for you."
Outside of the therapy room, Danielle finds renewal through exercise and running, creativity, and time spent in nature. She values peace, balance, and connection, and brings those same qualities into her work with every client she sees.
Outside the Office
Peace, balance,
and connection
When she is not in session, Danielle recharges through movement, creativity, and time in nature. The same values she brings to the therapy room are the ones she tends to in her own life.
- Running and outdoor exercise for mind and body
- Creative arts as a personal and professional passion
- Nature walks and time spent outdoors
- Family and friends as her greatest source of joy
