Meeting every person where they are,
without judgment, without exception

Erin Austin is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Holy Family University. She works with adolescents and adults, as well as couples and families navigating relationship difficulties — bringing a consistent, grounded presence to clients across a wide range of life circumstances and challenges.

Erin's clinical background includes experience in forensic, residential, and inpatient settings, with a particular history working with incarcerated individuals and juveniles and adults involved with the criminal justice system. This breadth has shaped a clinical approach that is genuinely non-judgmental, rooted in the belief that every person deserves to be treated as an individual and that effective therapy begins with truly understanding what someone is personally dealing with.

She works with clients managing anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD, and trauma histories, as well as those navigating substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual abuse (as either victim or survivor), and the disruptions that come with major life transitions. In every case, treatment is a collaborative process, built on each client's existing strengths and shaped by what they most need to move forward.

"Treatment is always a collaborative process built on the client's strengths — treating everyone as an individual and understanding what they are personally dealing with."

A flexible, evidence-based toolkit
shaped around each client

Erin selects from a range of evidence-based approaches based on each client's specific needs, history, and goals. No two treatment plans look the same.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Identifies and shifts unhelpful thought patterns driving distress — building more effective, healthier responses to the challenges clients face.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Teaches practical skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness — especially helpful for intense emotions and relational difficulties.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Helps clients build psychological flexibility — accepting what can't be controlled while committing to actions that align with their values and the life they want.

Motivational Interviewing

A collaborative, client-centered approach that helps people explore ambivalence and strengthen their own readiness to change — particularly effective in substance use work.
