About Holly
Nearly 20 years of experience —
strengths-based, compassionate, and whole-person
Holly Kratz is a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly two decades of experience working with children, teens, young adults, couples, and families. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in School Counseling, both from Shippensburg University. She has also earned certification in Applied Behavior Analysis through the Florida Institute of Technology and is currently completing supervised EMDR training through Francine Shapiro's EMDR Institute.
Holly has extensive experience supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, stress and trauma, PTSD, abuse history, mood disorders, neurodivergence, and behavioral difficulties — as well as those facing relationship challenges and significant life transitions. Her work spans individual, family, couples, and adolescent therapy, offered in both in-person and telehealth formats.
Her approach is grounded in a strengths-based philosophy: she believes that every person brings real resources and resilience to the therapeutic relationship, and that effective treatment means meeting each client where they are. She integrates multiple evidence-based modalities to provide support that is both compassionate and clinically effective.
"Everyone has a unique and significant story — and my goal is to help each person develop their own best story in a safe, confidential space."
Therapeutic Approaches
Evidence-based modalities,
tailored to each client's needs
Holly integrates a range of specialized, research-supported modalities — drawing on whichever combination best fits each client's history, goals, and strengths.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing uses guided bilateral stimulation to help clients process and recover from traumatic memories — reducing their lasting emotional impact.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Helps clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, building stronger coping skills, emotional regulation, and resilience over time.
Applied Behavior Analysis
Targets specific behavioral goals — including social skills, communication, and adaptive learning — using structured, evidence-based techniques particularly suited to neurodivergent clients.
Emotionally Focused Therapy
A research-backed approach for couples and families that works to identify and shift negative interaction cycles — deepening emotional bonds and building more secure, connected relationships.
