Julia Thompson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with vast experience in issues related to trauma, grief and loss, cultural and systemic injustices, family conflict, parenting challenges, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Julia has extensive experience in working with adolescents, families, and couples, navigating through life challenges, to empower both the individual and the family to recognize and fulfill their goals and potential.
Julia earned her Master’s degree from LaSalle University in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a specialization in Addictions treatment. Julia also earned two Bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Sociology. Julia has worked in a variety of therapeutic environments including residential/inpatient, behavioral health, in-home services, outpatient, and a variety of community mental health agencies. Julia is a clinical member for the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
Julia’s goal is to create an emotionally safe environment, through a non-judgmental, and emotionally intelligent approach. Julia utilizes systemic approach, which includes recognizing the role and importance of cultural diversity and experiences, including those of the individuals own family and relationships.
