About Kathleen
Two decades of expertise
helping children learn and thrive
Dr. Kathleen Pickard earned her Doctorate in Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. With over 20 years of experience as a school psychologist in both public and private school settings, she brings deep expertise in understanding how learning differences and behavioral challenges affect children academically, socially, and emotionally.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Pickard currently teaches within graduate counseling programs at two local universities, reflecting her ongoing commitment to the field and to preparing the next generation of mental health professionals.
Thorough, individualized assessment is the foundation of meaningful support. Understanding how a child thinks and learns makes it possible to create plans that actually work.
As a Diplomate in School Neuropsychology (ABSNP), Dr. Pickard specializes in comprehensive psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations for children and young adults. Her assessments address ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, executive function challenges, learning disabilities, and behavioral or impulse control difficulties. Her evaluations provide families, schools, and treatment teams with the clear, actionable information they need to build effective support plans.
