About Lauren
Healing begins with meeting you where you are. Lauren DeSouza is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Liv Associates in Warminster, Pennsylvania. She works with older adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, OCD, and other mental health challenges.
Lauren earned her Master of Science in Clinical Health Psychology, specializing in addictions, from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in 2011.
What distinguishes Lauren's approach is her integration of somatic interventions alongside evidence-based therapies. By incorporating mindfulness, body awareness, and EMDR therapy, she supports clients in exploring the connection between emotional experiences and physical responses.
Lauren is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist who incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) into her clinical practice. She also draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic approaches to tailor treatment to each individual's needs.
Whether someone is processing traumatic experiences, managing addiction recovery, or learning to regulate intense emotions, Lauren meets them with warmth, structure, compassion, and genuine curiosity about what will help most.
"Seeking therapy takes courage. I strive to create a space where you feel truly met — exactly as you are."
Outside of the therapy room, creativity is central to Lauren's life. She enjoys painting, drawing, writing poetry, spending time in nature, and reading. These interests support her appreciation for personal expression, ongoing learning, and growth.
