About Lillian
Creative, trauma-informed care
for adolescents and adults
Lillian Beach is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), and Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) with a Master of Professional Studies in Art Therapy from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and eating disorders, and has clinical experience across private practice and specialized eating disorder programs at the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels.
Lillian's practice is grounded in a person-centered, trauma-informed, and identity-affirming foundation, drawing from psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral frameworks to meet each client with both depth and flexibility. Alongside these traditional approaches, she offers art therapy as an optional pathway for those who want to explore their thoughts and emotions beyond words. Art therapy is not about talent or producing polished work; it is about using the creative process itself as a vehicle for insight, self-expression, and meaningful change.
"A client does not need to be an artist to engage in art therapy!"
Lillian's identity-affirming approach extends across all of the work she does, welcoming individuals and families from diverse cultural and life backgrounds with genuine respect and attentiveness to each person's unique experience. Whether a client is navigating a complex mental health diagnosis, working through the challenges of an eating disorder, or simply finding that the challenges of daily life have become harder to carry, Lillian brings the same commitment to creating a safe, supportive space where growth becomes possible.
