Two decades of experience,
zero judgment

Dr. Moran Gottesman is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Liv Associates. With more than twenty years of clinical experience, she has built a practice around one simple belief: therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation between two people who are both invested in the outcome.

Her background spans community mental health, behavioral health rehabilitation, and doctoral-level supervision. She served as an evaluating psychologist for a BHRS program serving children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, attention issues, and behavioral difficulties, along with their families. She continues to mentor the next generation of psychologists as a supervisor for doctoral externs.

Dr. Gottesman's primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which focuses on reducing avoidance and helping clients act in ways that reflect their personal values. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, social anxiety, addictions, and co-occurring disorders. As a PSYPACT-certified psychologist, she can provide telehealth services across participating states.

"I believe I have as much to learn from my clients as they have to learn from me. That mutual openness is the foundation of a truly supportive therapeutic relationship."

Her style is collaborative and non-judgmental, and she is known for bringing warmth, directness, and the occasional well-timed laugh into her sessions. She believes the relationship between therapist and client is not just the backdrop for the work. It is the work.
