You are the expert on yourself.
I am here to help you find the way.

Roxy Salamanca is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science from Chestnut Hill College, where she concentrated on working with children and adolescents and specialized in Autism Spectrum Disorders. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University, a background that informs her deep commitment to inclusivity, advocacy, and understanding the systems people navigate every day.

Roxy works with children, adolescents, adults, and families across a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, PTSD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and gender dysphoria. She has particular experience supporting families in rebuilding attachment and improving communication, and she brings the same warmth and patience to each generation she works with.

Her approach is fundamentally client-centered — she believes that the people she works with are the true experts on their own lives. Roxy integrates CBT, DBT, and EMDR into her practice, and is currently working toward EMDR certification. She creates a therapeutic environment where clients feel genuinely welcomed, seen, and supported to grow at their own pace.

"I prioritize creating a safe, inclusive space where every client feels truly welcome — exactly as they are."

Born in North Jersey and raised in Pennsylvania by parents who immigrated from Colombia, Roxy brings a genuine appreciation for different cultures and life experiences into her work. Outside of the office she enjoys traveling, walking her dog, volunteering at the PSPCA, and listening to music. She welcomes pet pictures — always.

Evidence-based tools, centered around you

Roxy draws on several modalities and selects the right combination based on what each client brings to the room.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Builds healthier thinking patterns to ease distressing emotions and interrupt cycles that can make symptoms harder to manage over time.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Teaches emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness — especially helpful for intense or fluctuating emotions.

EMDR

Uses bilateral stimulation to reduce the emotional weight of traumatic memories, helping clients process experiences that have stayed stuck.

Client-Centered Care

Every session starts from the belief that the client is the expert on their own life. Roxy's role is to create the conditions for that expertise to emerge.
